European Gas Maintenance Update: Troll Works Extended

In Norway the ongoing works at the Troll field have been extended by one day until Tuesday, while the UK’s Barrow North terminal was halted on Saturday in an unplanned outage according to remit data.

  • Current works at the Troll field have been extending by one day until Tuesday, limiting available capacity by 17.5mcm/d. Output will be reduced by 5.5mcm/d on 15-19 before further deepening to 34.5mcm/d on 19-26 August, Gassco data show.
  • The Kollsnes facility will return on 21 August and the Karsto processing plant will begin maintenance on Tuesday.
  • The Ormen Lange field will have reduced availability on 19-21 August, ranging between 19.3mcm/d-24.3mcm/d of reduced capacity.
  • In the UK, the Barrow North terminal halted on Saturday and is scheduled to return Monday evening in an unplanned outage according to GB remit data.
  • The St. Fergus terminal is scheduled to return on 1 September, while both the Perenco Bacton terminal and Cygnus field are scheduled to end maintenance on 15 August.
