Exit Polls Point To Strong Results For Centre-Left In Mayoral Contests

Exit polls from mayoral contests in Italy's largest cities show strong results for centre-left coalition candidates. In Rome, Milan, Turin, Naples, and Bologna the centre-left either have likely won outright in the first round or go into the second round run-off as favourites. The one bright spot for the centre-right looks to be in the Calabrian regional election, where centre-right candidate Robergo Occhiuto looks set to either win outright in the first round or be favourite for the second round run-off.
