Exxon Mobil’s Liza Unit FPSO in Guyana hit Peak Output of 252k b/d

An Exxon Mobil led consortium has reached peak production of 252k b/d from its Liza Unity FSPO, according to Exxon Guyana Country Manager Alistair Routledge, cited by Reuters.

  • "Guyana will become the second largest oil producer in Latin America after Brazil, soon," Routledge said, reported by Reuters. "This is a tremendous operation... with the sixth project, we will have 500 kilometres (311 miles) of flowlines in total."
  • For the fifth project in Guyana, Uaru, the group hired Mitsui to build the FSPO vessel.
  • A sixth project, called Whiptail, was recently approved and should begin output in 2027. This would take the total capacity of the consortium in Guyana to 1.3m b/d, Reuters said.
