Exxon Restarts Rotterdam Refinery

Exxon Mobil is restarting the Rotterdam refinery following planned works since mid-February according to WoodMac.

  • Increased activity began at the 191kbpd CDU and 25kbpd naphtha hydrotreater on Sunday. Both units were shut on 14 February.
  • The 42kbpd coker also saw increased activity on Sunday after shutting on 13 February.
  • The 52kbpd hydrocracker and the 21kbpd gasoil hydrotreater remained shut since 14 and 13 February, respectively.
  • Exxon Mobil said on 10 April that the refinery will be gradually restarting following planned maintenance according to Bloomberg.
