FED: Fed's Mester on CNBC, says the coronavirus outbreak could morph into
something serious and be a big hit on consumer, corporate and investor
sentiment. She adds that the decision to go 50bps was a case of looking to be
decisive and she was fully on board with the decision. Mester, head of the
Cleveland Fed, said Tuesday move was appropriate at the time. Mester noted the
cut wouldn't help ease supply-side issues.
