Fianance Minister Lauds Successful New ESG Issue

  • Brazil issued $2 billion in ESG bonds on Tuesday, which priced at 6.5%. Demand for the instruments was set to have been almost three times the amount offered. The issuance of sustainable bonds on the international market had a “quite impressive” result, Finance Minister Fernando Haddad told journalists in Brasília on Monday night.
    • “The spread paid today is typical of an investment grade country”, said the minister, adding that the implied spread is 180 points.
