Final Polls Show Boric Leading, Cadem Poll Slightly Narrows Gap

CHILE
  • Chile’s leftist presidential candidate Gabriel Boric saw his lead narrow in a fresh political poll with a little more than two weeks left before the nation’s highly-contested runoff vote.
  • In the latest cadem survey, Boric continues to lead towards the second round, with 40% (+ 1pt) of the preferences while José Antonio Kast rises 2 points to 35%. Those who would not vote, do not know or do not respond fell from 28% to 25%.
  • However, regarding presidential expectations, 53% (+ 9pts) believe Boric will be the next president of Chile, compared to 35% (-6pts) who think Kast will be.
