Finnish-Estonian Power Link on Track for August Restart

Estonia’s 650MW EstLink 2 interconnector between Estonia-Finland is on track to complete repair works at the end of August, according to Estonian TSO Elering.

  • The replacement of the failed cable section is expected to start in July, with the link fully available on 31 August.
  • The Estlink2 went offline in an unplanned outage in January due to a malfunction.
  • But the 350MW Estlink 1 is still operational and Elering has suggested previously that the outage has had limited impact on the Estonian side.
