NZD

NZD/USD prints at $0.5890/95, the pair is ~0.3% firmer today.

  • Kiwi firmed alongside an offer in USD/JPY spilled over into wider greenback weakness. NZD/USD briefly rose above the $0.59 handle before marginally paring gains.
  • AUD/NZD is marginally pressured, the cross sits a touch below the 200-Day EMA having printed its lowest level in 2 weeks. However AUD/NZD does sit well within the $1.08/09 range which has persisted since early August.
  • NZ Job Ads rose for the first time in five months, the Job Ads Index was up 2.2% M/M in August.
  • Cross asset wise; BBDXY is ~0.1% lower and E-minis are a touch below opening levels. US Tsy Yields are ~2bps lower across the major benchmarks.
