France's Montoir LNG Send-Out Delayed by Two Weeks

LNG

The LNG send-out from France’s Montoir LNG terminal has been delayed by two weeks according to the operator Elengy.

  • The terminal had been due to restart send-out from July 8 but it has been extended until July 22.
  • "For safety reasons, and in reference to planned works on the Montoir terminal, the start of send-out is postponed from 08 to 22 July 2024," Elengy said.
  • There has been maintenance underway at Montoir since May earlier this year according to ICIS. Regasification was cut by 40% from 11 May to 14 June. It was then cut entirely from 15 June to 7 July and was due to return on 8 July.
  • France has other options including the Dunkirk and Le Havre LNG terminals on the nearby north coast and the Fos Cavaou and Fos Tonkin terminals on the south coast.
