Freeport LNG Train 2 Goes Offline

Freeport’s LNG Train 2 went offline June 29 and was restarted due to a compressor issue, according to a filing from the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality, Bloomberg said.

  • Flows to the Texas plant were reduced from June 29 but have since recovered.
  • Current feedgas flows now stand at 1.915 bcf/d, compared to normal levels of around 2m bcf/d.
  • Freeport LNG’s Train 2 unit also shut down and restarted June 25, after a power-related issue with the plant’s cooling system.
