French Le Havre FSRU Set to Arrive Today

LNG

The Cape Ann FSRU looks set to arrive at Le Havre in northern France today according to ICIS.

  • TotalEnergies plans to use the floating storage and regasification unit at Le Havre in Normandy as another new import facility for Europe to help replace lost volumes of Russian pipeline gas.
  • ICIS thinks that the Cape Ann currently has a cargo of LNG onboard, picked up via sts transfer from the Seapeak Arwa off Gibraltar, where the Cape Ann had been waiting before moving north towards Le Havre.
  • The new French import terminal will follow the recent additions of Piombino in Italy; Gulf of Saros in Turkey; Germany's Wilhelsmhaven, Lubmin and Brunsbuettel; and the Dutch Eemshaven terminal.
