French PV Additions on Track for Record

France added around 1.01GW of PV in 2Q24, with additions potentially reaching a record this year if the current rate of expansion continues into the 2H, operator Enedis said, cited by PV Magazine.

  • This is up from around 965MW installed in 1Q24 and up from additions in 1Q23 and 2Q23 at 691MW and 747MW, respectively.
  • The new additions include 18MW of storage and 710MW of self-consumption units.
