Funds Increase Bullish Positioning Again in Week to June 21

GAS POSITIONING - Investment fund net long positioning in ICE TTF futures edged higher again last week to remain the most bullish since January 2022 according to the commitment of traders data for the week to June 21.

  • European gas market fundamentals are relatively stable but the market remains sensitive to supply risks as the region slowly builds stocks ahead of the upcoming winter season.
    • Investment Firm net position fell by 16.11m to -143.89m
    • Investment Funds net position increased by 1.94m to +130.98m
    • Commercial Undertaking net position increased by 17.96m to 18.08m
