Further Delay to Epex Spot Market Coupling Session

Epex Spot reported further delay of the market decoupling session, meaning it risks a full decoupling.

  • “If the Final Market Coupling Results are still not available at 14:20 (CEST), another message will be sent out in order to announce the Full Decoupling”, it said.
  • Epex Spot previously reported the Czech OTE NEMO Hub decoupled, with the CZ-AT, CZ-DE, CZ-SK and CZ-PL interconnectors impacted.
  • The market coupling process has “encountered severe technical issues” on 24 July, which has impacted the Czech bidding zone, with shadow auctions taking place as a fallback solution, it said earlier.
  • For the shadow auctions on CZ-PL borders offered capacity was 0MW according to Jao.
