GASOLINE: Dangote Gasoline Yields Around 25% Until RFCC Start in Early 2025: FGE

GASOLINE

Gasoline production at the 650kb/d Dangote refinery will be limited until the operation of its 200kb/d RFCC in early-2025, according to FGE.

  • Gasoline yields will be limited to around 25% with initial gasoline production coming solely from naphtha processing.
  • The refinery is expected to supply 75-90 kb/d of gasoline in the coming months as throughput ranges between 300-350 kb/d.
  • Nigeria’s downstream regulator suggests a more optimistic view, expecting 125kb/d of gasoline production this month rising to 190kb/d in October.
  • Operators have the flexibility to shift production at the mild HDC towards middle distillates, which would lower the gasoline yield, but FGE assumes maximum naphtha feed for the reformer with focus on gasoline production.
