German EUA Auction Spot Price Falls to Early April Low

The latest weekly German EUA CAP3 auction cleared lower at €65.01/ton CO2e, down from €67.36/ton CO2e in the previous auction and the lowest since 5 April according to EEX.

    • EUA DEC 24 down 0.6% at 66.29 EUR/MT
  • The cover ratio also decreased to 1.65, from 1.88 in the previous auction.
  • The mean price stood at €65.68/ton CO2e and the median price at €64.89/ton CO2e.
  • There was a total of 19 bids with 16 successful bidders.
  • The EU ETS Dec 24 contract has edged lower today, amid losses in the wider European energy complex.
