BUNDS: German FI futures tracking Tsys higher; Schatz +3.0, Bobls +9.0, Bunds
+35. This comes after the strong headline NFP print weighed on the space on
Friday.
- A CNBC interview with ECB's Villeroy was run in early Asia hours, although
nothing in the way of fresh content was evident in the headlines. Villeroy once
again stressed that there must be no doubt in the ECB's determination to act &
capability to do so if & when it is needed. Villeroy also highlighted the Bank's
data dependence, stating that the Bank looks at fin'l mkts, but is not driven by
them.
- It is also worth highlighting that the centre-right New Democracy party ousted
the incumbent SYRIZA in the Greek elections & is on track to secure an outright
majority in the Greek government.
- Meanwhile, Deutsche Bank formally unveiled a plan that involves cutting large
portions of its trading unit, shedding 18,000 jobs and segregating off EUR74bn
of assets into a so-called "bad bank."
- German industrial production & trade balance headline the local docket today.
