German Natural Gas Demand in June Fell 18.5% Below 2018-21 Average

German natural gas consumption in June stood 18.5% below the 2018-2021 average, Bnetza data showed.

  • In May demand stood 23.2% below the four-year average.
  • Natural gas demand from the industry stood at 1.057TWh in June, 16.34% below the June average during 2018 and 2021.
  • Gas consumption from small businesses and households stood 22.02% below the 2018-2021 June average at 216GWh.
  • German gas storage capacity stood at 81.12% as of 4 July, up from 80.04% a week earlier, AGSI data showed.
