German TSO Raises Funds for Grid Upgrades

Germany TSO Amprion has raised €1.1bn in green bonds to be invested in grid upgrades, with the firm committed to spending €27.5bn in expanding and modernising the grid over the next 5 years, it said, cited by Renewablesnow.

  • “The proceeds will be invested exclusively in our green project portfolio [and used to] integrate more and more renewable energy,” CFO Peter Ruth said.
