German Weekly Gas Demand 19.9% Below 2018-21 Average

German natural gas consumption last week stood 19.9% below the 2018-2021 average, Bnetza data showed.

  • Gas demand rose by 25.9% week on week, while temperatures remained 1.2 °C above the 2018021 average.
  • German natural gas inventories stood at 87.60% of capacity as of 9 January, down from 91.04% a week earlier, GIE data showed.
