Germany To Commission Wilhelmshaven LNG From 22 Dec

Germany’s Uniper will start the commissioning phase of the floating LNG terminal Wilhelmshaven on 22, the utility said.

  • The "Hoegh Esperanza" will dock at the northern port of Wilhelmshaven in the coming days, loaded with an initial shipment of LNG, a government spokeswoman said.
  • The terminal will deliver up to 7.5bcm of gas per year, equivalent to around 8.5% of Germany’s current demand.
  • Germany’s Lubmin LNG terminal was also eyed to start up by the end of the year, but missing permits have delayed trial production that was scheduled for early December.
