Germany’s 265kbpd Gelsenkirchen Refinery Starts Annual Maintenance

BP’s 265kbpd Gelsenkirchen refinery in western Germany is beginning a scheduled inspection from early September, according to a community notice.

  • The facility will be halted for several weeks.
  • Gelsenkirchen is the larger of BP’s two oil-processing plants in Germany.
  • Germany’s Miro refinery is also planning a partial shutdown of a unit with 96kbpd of capacity. this autumn amid annual maintenance.
