Global airline seat capacity reached its peak for 2023 in the week to 7 August, according to OAG.
- Total number of airline seats in flight schedules was up 0.1% on the week to 116.7m.
- Passenger numbers remain 1.7% below the same week in 2019.
- Domestic passenger seats are 2.6% above the same week in 2019, while international seats remain 7.5% below 2019 levels.
- Capacity is now expected to decrease down to 114m seats over the next few weeks.
