Global Airline Passenger Capacity Rises 0.91 % on Week: OAG

Global airline passenger capacity is set to rise to 121.34m seats in the seven days commencing from July 1, OAG said.

  • This is a rise of 0.91% on the previous week. The net increase of 1.09m seats is higher than last week’s rise of 979k seats.
  • The rise continues to lag with last week’s forward schedule by 0.96%, which expected total capacity to hit 121.82m seats.
  • Domestic capacity is up 0.55% on the week at 70.26m seats. Domestic capacity has risen every week since May 13.
  • Meanwhile, international capacity has risen by 1.39% to 51.08m seats. International capacity has risen every week since March 11.
