Global Passenger Jet Fuel Demand Falls Again on Week: BNEF

Global passenger jet fuel demand is set to gall by 1.4% in the week to Nov. 20 to 6m b/d, according to BNEF.

  • Western Europe is leading the decline in jet fuel demand, with a weekly reduction of around 5%, while Eastern Europe is seeing a fall of 4%.
  • Latin America is the only region where jet fuel consumption is poised to rise, up 2.4%.
  • Domestic flights in China are set to grow by 8% over the next four weeks, according to current schedules, although late cancellations of routes are commonplace.
  • The number of flights in China in the week to Nov. 13 was 89,776, down 2.6% on the previous week.
