Gloomy Early Polls For Castillo

Only 39% of Peruvians approve of the work that President Pedro Castillo is doing in his first days in office, amid the uproar caused by the appointment of his first cabinet of ministers, according to a poll released Friday by Datum. (Bloomberg)

  • 41% of the population disapprove of Castillo's work
  • While 76% of those surveyed think that Prime Minister Guido Bellido, investigated for apology of terrorism, should not occupy the position
  • 47% see Pedro Francke as the right person for the Ministry of Finance
  • The Datum survey of 1,210 people had a margin of error of +/-2.8%
