Gulfstream LNG Secure DOE Export Approval and Pipeline Supply Term Sheet

The mid-sized LNG export project of Gulfstream LNG has received authorization from the US DOE to export LNG to countries that have a free trade agreement with the US according to S&P Global.

  • Gulfstream LNG has obtained approval to export up to 4mtpa of domestically produced LNG on its own behalf and as an agent for others valid until 2050.
  • Gulfstream LNG has also signed a term sheet with a gas pipeline network company to establish a framework for future binding agreements regarding the delivery of feed gas volumes.
  • The project site in Plaquemines Parish, Louisiana is close to multiple feed gas trunk-line networks and benefits from a robust electrical grid.
  • The gas transportation company's pipeline network will connect to major trunklines including linking to the Marcellus and Haynesville gas basins. The company intends to begin the FERC application process once the initial funding tranche is secured.
