US: Heading into the Wall Street opening bell, USD index sits close to the day's
best levels, and USD bulls eye a break above the 96.00 handle to trigger a test
of the 100-dma at 96.172. US equity futures sit in minor positive territory,
indicating a higher open on Wall Street today after Monday's close in the green.
There's little data or speakers of note, with focus on President Trump's State
of the Union address. Commodity markets generally sit lower, with WTI and Brent
crude futures lower by around 1% apiece, but precious metals sit higher, with
gold up 0.2%. The likely positive open for equities hasn't hampered Treasuries,
however, with 10y yields looking to break 2.70% to the downside. US ISM
non-manufacturing PMI in just under one hour will be the data highlight.
