Henry Hub Spot Price Forecast Cut for 2024: EIA

US Henry Hub spot prices for 2024 have been cut by 19 cents/MMBtu to $2.30/MMBtu, according to the EIA in its August Short Term Energy Outlook.

  • Prices in 2025 have been revised down just 2 cents/MMBtu to $3.27/MMBtu.
  • US dry natural gas production across 2024 has been revised down by 0.2% to 103.3 bcf/d.
  • Production in 2025 is expected to be 104.6 bcf/d – a cut of 0.5% from the previous estimate.
  • Forecast US natural gas consumption for 2024 is up 0.4% at 89.8bcf/d.
  • Consumption for 2025 unchanged on the July forecast at 89.2 bcf/d.
