Hungary and Slovenia to Build Gas Pipeline for Italian LNG

Hungary has entered into an agreement with Slovenia to build a pipeline between the two nations, allowing for the delivery of gas received as LNG at Italian ports, according to TASS.

  • "In accordance with this agreement, within two years we will build an interconnector linking our pipeline systems, through which we will be able to transport 440 million cubic meters of natural gas per year in both directions," Hungarian Minister Peter Szijjarto said.
  • He added that the pipeline will give Hungary new sources of LNG in that were previously unavailable, in addition to those already accessible from Croatia.
