HUNGARY: Industrial Production Falls 2.4% Y/Y in April (Est: +0.7%)

  • Hungary’s industrial production fell 2.4% y/y in April against estimates of a 0.7% expansion. That compares to a revised -3.1% y/y in March. Month-on-month, industrial production fell 0.7% versus -3.1% the month prior.
  • According to figures from the NBH, official reserve assets of Hungary rose EUR 839.2m, or 1.8%, to EUR 47.7bn in May – a fresh record high.
  • There are no other data releases scheduled for today, with CPI figures for May providing the highlight next week on Monday.
