India's Oil Imports From Russia Rise to New Record

Imports of Russian crude by India reached another record high in June at 2.2mbpd according to Kpler. Urals imports reached a record high of 1.5mbpd.

  • Russian volumes were again more than the combined shipments from Saudi Arabia and Iraq.
  • Imports may dip next month because of lower Russian supply according to Kpler.
  • The import volumes could be near its limit due to infrastructure issues and the need to maintain good relations with other suppliers according to Bloomberg.
