India to Agree Supply From non-OPEC Brazil and Colombia

India looks set to sign long term oil supply deals with the non OPEC countries of Brazil and Columbia according to Mint.

  • The supply deals would be for at least 2mt from Petrobras in Brazil and 1mt from Ecopetrol in Columbia.
  • Government negotiations have taken place for preferential pricing and supply stability for India.
  • India’s Pankaj Jain from the ministry of petroleum and natural gas is due to travel to Brazil next week to sign the agreement.
