Indian Buyers Supporting LNG Market for Aug-Oct Cargoes

Indian LNG buying for August to October has proved supportive for the market in July:

  • India’s Petronet LNG has issued a tender for an LNG cargo for delivery in September according to Reuters sources. It is seeking the cargo for delivery Sep 10-24 to the Dahej terminal.
  • India’s GSPC is seeking an LNG cargo for Sep-Oct delivery according to Reuters sources. It is seeking he cargo for delivery between Sep 25 and Oct 10 to the Mundra terminal.
  • Indian Oil purchased two LNG cargoes on a DES basis for late-August to early-September delivery at the mid-$11/mmbtu range
  • Gujarat State Petroleum is looking to buy an LNG cargo for delivery between Sept. 25 and Oct. 10 according to Bloomberg sources.
