India’s Domestic Air Passenger Traffic to Double by 2023

India’s domestic air passenger traffic will double to 300mn by 2030, civil aviation minister Jyotiraditya Scindia, cited by Argus, after the country’s jet-fuel demand rose 15% year on year on 2023, petroleum ministry data showed.

  • Global jet fuel demand expanded by 480kbpd on the year for the week ending 12 January. Severe weather conditions during the week caused flight disruptions across the US and Europe with global daily flights averaging 96.1% of 2019 volumes, JP Morgan said in a note.
