Bank Indonesia left the BI Rate unchanged at 6.25%, in line with virtually unanimous consensus and as predicted in our preview.

  • The central bank said that it sees headline CPI staying within target through the remainder of the year, while expecting 2024 GDP growth to be at +4.7%-5.5% Y/Y. According to Bank Indonesia, GDP growth should remain strong in 2H2024.
