GILT SUMMARY: Jeremy Corbyn has indicated that talks with the government over
the Withdrawal Agreement are stalling, according to the Guardian. The Labour
leader is said to have robustly pushed for a customs union, but has warned that
finding common ground will be difficult given the divergent ambitions for the
UK's post-Brexit relationship with the EU.
- It has been a relatively quiet session for gilts in light of the relative
paucity of data releases and Brexit-headlines. Trading has been within a 2bp
range. Current yield levels: 2-year 0.790%, 5-year 0.937%, 10-year 1.218%,
30-year 1.729%.
- The Jun-19 gilt future trades at 126.86 near the middle of the day's range.
- Short sterling futures are broadly flat/0.5 ticks higher.
