Jet Fuel Demand Fall Driven by North America: BNEF

JET FUEL

Global passenger jet fuel demand is set to drop for the second straight week, according to BNEF, driven by falls in North America and Asia.

  • Implied passenger jet fuel demand is estimated to be 6.3m b/d in the week to Jan. 15, down 0.3% on the week.
  • North America’s demand is due to fall 1.7% on the week, while Asia will fall by 0.6% on the week.
  • Western Europe is bucking the trend, with consumption increasing in that region.
