JGBS: JGB futures softened overnight, following the broader narrative, closing
12 ticks lower vs. Tokyo settlement levels, a touch off session lows.
- After hours Wednesday saw incoming BoJ board member Nakamura note that the
Bank will need to take swift action if needed as it keeps a close eye on the
economy and COVID-19 spread, although he doesn't see the need for the BoJ to
take further action at present.
- 10-Year JGB supply headlines the local docket today, with the increased
issuance size at today's auction presenting another factor that likely
contributed to some of the weakness in overnight trade.
