JGBS: JGB futures ticked higher overnight, driven by moves in other core global
FI markets, finishing the session 19 ticks better off vs. settlement, although a
little off best levels.
- COVID-19 matters continue to dominate, with the potential for a second
consecutive downgrade of the government's economic assessment in its monthly
economic view touted by the Japanese press, while the formal emergency zone may
be widened to cover new prefectures (as outlined earlier) on the back of
requests made by regional officials at the tail end of last week.
- A 5-15.5 Year liquidity enhancement auction headlines the local docket today.
