UK DATA: Jobs Growth Exceeds Expectations Even as Unemp Rate Rises
-UK Q2 Employment +115,000  vs +28,000 Mar-May
-UK Q2 LFS Jobless Rate 3.9% vs 3.8% Mar-May, above MNI median 
-UK June jobless rate 4.1% vs 3.7% in May (experimental statistic)
Employment growth far exceeded the Bloomberg median forecast of 60,000, 
although the unemployment rate ticked up for the first time since the 3 
months to January 2018 as more candidates entered the work force. Some 
50,000 new jobs were either self-employment or part-time roles, a 
development noted by MPC members at the last rate-setting meeting. The 
unofficial jobless rate for June rose to 4.1%, the highest level since 
last December, from 3.7% in May. Vancancies declined by 20,000 to 
820,000, the lowest level since the three months to April 2018.
