YEN: JPY crosses have edged lower in Asia-Pacific hours. USDJPY touched the NY
low & last deals at 106.70, while EURJPY trades at 131.50 & AUDJPY deals at
82.15.
- USDJPY bulls failed to capitalise on the close above the 55-DMA (107.13) on
Thursday with the sell-off providing bears with breathing room. A close below
the 21-DMA (106.24) is the next focal point for bears, with daily studies
approaching overbought presenting a concern for bulls.
- EURJPY remains supported around the 55 & 200-WMAs (129.60) & capped ahead of
the 200-DMA (132.15) with the 100-DMA (133.05) offering the key topside level.
Bulls need a close above the 100-DMA to end bearish hopes and hint at a move
back to YtD highs. Last week downside pressure returned to the high from Mar 23,
which now acts as support (129.97), with bears still needing a close below here.
- AUDJPY's recovery fell shy of the low from Mar 15 which now forms resistance
(82.70). Bulls still look for a close above this level to open up a move to the
55-DMA (83.82). Initial support comes in at Friday's low (81.87) followed by the
Apr 4 low (81.26).
