June Industrial Production, Construction Activity Due

  • The government is reported to be in talks with Banco Santander for a potential $1bn loan, which would be used for funds for a January debt payment. Santander would act as the manager of a special purchase vehicle in the deal, which would take the form of a repurchase agreement, according to Bloomberg. Government or central bank bonds will be offered as collateral. The government has $4.7bn in payments due in January on hard-currency bonds.
  • On the data front today, June industrial production and construction activity figures will be released at 2000BST(1500ET).

  • Meanwhile, President Milei is meeting with oil companies at the Vaca Muerta shale oil field today, before traveling to Chile for an event.
