June Russia Pipeline Gas to Europe Flat on the Month

Russia's pipeline gas flows to Europe were flat month on month in June at 1.76bcm despite a week-long period of maintenance on the TurkStream pipeline, according to S&P Global.

  • TurkStream supply into Southeast Europe rose slightly in June to 0.71bcm despite maintenance from 5-11 June 5-11. Russian gas via Ukraine to non-CIS countries dipped slightly from May to 1.05bcm in June, with supplies into Europe at the Velke Kapusany interconnection point averaging 35mcm/d.
  • Russian pipeline exports to Europe via the two remaining major supply routes via Sudzha on the Russia-Ukraine border and via TurkStream were down 63% year on year. Deliveries via the Yamal-Europe and Nord Stream pipelines halted last year.
  • Russia's five-year transit deal with Ukraine signed at the end of 2019 expires in December 2024 and is unlikely to be renewed, according to Ukrainian officials.
