EUROZONE DATA: Just worth noting. We don't have confirmation from Markit on the
survey dates for the Eurozone/UK services PMIs later today.
- However looking at the pattern of releases so far this morning and on Monday,
the services survey period looks to end on Tues 25 February while the
manufacturing survey periods ended on Fri 21 February.
- Why is this important? The coronavirus outbreak in Italy really started to
escalate over the weekend of 22-23 February with big reactions in European
markets on the open on Monday 24 February. This means that the last 2 days of
the survey period for the services are likely to include the period coronavirus
affected Europe, whereas the manufacturing PMIs included none of this period.
- This might mean that there could be downside risks to this morning's services
PMI prints.
