Kazakhstan Plans 900k tonnes of Oil Via Druzhba to Germany in 2023

Kazakhstan expects to transport 900k tonnes of oil via Russia’s Druzhba oil pipeline to Germany by the end of 2023 according to Deputy Energy Minister Askhat Khasenov via TASS.

  • Kazakhstan shipped 390k tonnes of oil to Germany through the Druzhba pipeline between February and July year according to the chairman of KazMunayGas (KMG).
  • "This year is the testing one for us. We set the task for ourselves … to pump more than 1mn, about 1.2mn [metric tonnes]. However, we see there will be about 900,000 metric tonnes as of the end of this year most probably," Khasenov said.
  • The final amount of oil shipped to Germany could still change depending on the state of logistics.
  • The change in volumes for the next year will be discussed in October - November 2023.
