Kazakhstan Plans Druzhba Supply of 100k tons to Germany in Jan

Kazakhstan plans to send 100k tons of oil to Germany via the northern leg of the Druzhba pipeline in January according to Bloomberg.

  • KazTransOil is aiming for the transportation of 1.2m mt of Kazakh oil to Germany via the pipeline in 2024 after agreement between Kazkahstan and Russia last month.
  • The oil will be transported first via the Atyrau-Samara pipeline into Russia and then via the Druzhba pipeline to Germany.
  • Kazakhstan sent 993k tons to Germany via the route last year.
