Kazakhstan Produced 44.7m mt of Oil in H1: Interfax

Kazakhstan produced 44.7m mt of oil in H1 2024, the presidential office said July 29, cited by Interfax.

  • "During this period, Kazakhstan produced 44.7 million tonnes of oil, 6.78 million tonnes of petroleum products, 30.1 billion cubic meters of gas and 60.4 billion kWh of electricity," the press office said.
  • Kazakhstan plans to produce 90.3m mt in 2024, up slightly from 90m mt in 2023.
  • Kazakhstan is also looking to diversify its export routes for oil. This is due to heavy dependence on the CPC pipeline via Russia’s Black Sea port of Novorossiysk for 80% of its exports.
