Kazakhstan Wants to Send 2m mt to Germany in 2024 via Druzhba

Kazakhstan is exploring exporting up to 2m mt of oil to Germany via the Druzhba pipeline in 2024, according to Energy Minister Almasadan Satkaliev.

  • “Currently we have requests from German companies to increase the volumes to 2m mt. We already started a preliminary consultation with our colleagues regarding the possibility to raise the volume this year, Satkaliev said.
  • According to statistics he shared, in 2023, 1m mt of oil was exported from Kazakhstan to Germany via the Druzhba pipeline.
  • The current agreement with their Russian counterparts is for flows of up to 1.2m mtpa via Druzhba pipeline in 2024.
